Very well done!

Well, I can assume this is a relatively low quality work (kb/s-wise :p) based on its length, but the quality (effort + awesomeness wise) is very good.

Really nothing jumped out at me as "holy crap this is amazing!", but the song is far from bad. A download and a 4 from me.

Thanks. I think this version is at 112 or 128 kbps... Cannot remember, honestly. The quality isn't that good in any case. But it's as optimized as I could without dablling around with VBR.

Well, gonna keep it short...

Great song, good beats, love the theme. Really nothing wrong with it. I don't feel like taking the time to write a full enormous-ass review right now, so I'll just keep it short.

Beginning works great all the way up to 45 seconds, where the main theme begins to take over.

Breaking off the main theme at 1:48 works well, and adds some spice to the song.

Basically after that it just repeats a bunch and ends. Not that there's anything wrong with that, since the song is really good. Keep it up, more like this, already downloaded it and rated a 5. *thumbs up*

Basically my favorite song of yours :p

Back when I first downloaded this, it was amazing. Although time has gone on, it still is. In fact, I remember setting my slider-bars on Windows Media Player's customization mixer settings just to make this song sound even more beastly. I suppose now is the part of the review where I stop cleaning your shoes with my tongue and tell you why, eh? ;)

Well, the fade in to a crash is well done. It simply works. Enough said about that

Then the theme slings itself in with the high-pitched ringing. In many other places this would sound terribly annoying, but with the high-pitched ringing coupled with that slammin', bouncing bass sound you tend to use all so often, I feel that it works out just perfectly

After that we arrive at the buildup to the main theme, which is absolutely well done. The double-clap helps you feel like something is coming, the bass kicks back in in overtime, and then a new synth pops up, heading up the scale a little bit, then fluctuating, getting faster, then stuttering, and suddenly -

Wham, we're hit with the full on theme, as the high pitched ringing synth (I think that's a synth...) returns from the part right after the intro crash. The bass is just so awesome here, one really can't help but bob their head in approval. When that middle-synth combined with the intro one, plus that bouncing bass, you make a song that really just makes you want to move around and kick some ass at whatever you're doing. Personally I used it for around a year or so as background music playing while I played video games. It certainly helped my game with its energy and bounciness (not to be confused with "B0unciness :p) and that is perhaps why I love it.

In the event anyone wants to know the settings for the WMP mixer to make this song sound amazing, feel free to PM me.

Also, 5'd. One of, if not your best, songs.

Sounding good!

You are so good at making happy, trancey songs when you feel like it, yet you tend to make so much D&B that I just can't quite get into... well, with the exception of Insatiable, that is :p

Anyway, basically there's not much to say about it quality-wise. The bass has a lot of bounce in it, which I like in this kind of song, disappears for the main melody, which also helps its importance, and then reappears towards the end. I'm feeling this needs a finish, but if you don't want to, that's fine, too. I'll just be groovin' to this unfinished piece instead ;)

This song rocks, as per usual :p

Well, my review header says it all: this song rocks. It really does. The high pitched intro synth gives it this kind of feel to it that makes you want to hear it over and over. It's not quite epic, but it's not quite battle music, so I don't know where it would fit usage-wise, but it is definitely a good song.

The low, bass synth that came in towards the middle broke the song up, and was a good idea. By breaking the song into thirds you set up the return to the original theme: something I've long praised in good works of music. The intro has to be good and crisp, the middle has to variate the theme away, and then it has to transition back into the beginning flawlessly. This song does all three. It seems to be missing... something... I can't quite tell what, but it's definitely not more instruments of any variety. This song is good, although I haven't heard your original that you remade, so I cannot compare them. Good work once again, but something still seems lacking, even if I can't put my finger on what.

Ah, another great song to review!

This tune is definitely meant to be happy and uplifting, and it does just that.

The intro is great, sounds kind of like another song I like (which will remain unnamed :p), and sets the tone well.

After that is over, it breaks into the second segment, here is, as in the last song I reviewed, where minor improvement can be made. It is somewhat over-loud, and a bit too harsh sounding. Tone it down a bit, smooth it out a little, and it would be perfect.

Then the song slows down into the third part, re-doing the intro segment in a lower set of tones, and a bit less obnoxiously, and very much smoothed out. Bass is kickin', very relaxing but still energetic, sounds good.

Then, after that little intermission, the song hits into the second to last bit. Why all songs go 1 2 3 2 1, I may never know, but the pattern seems to work here as it usually does. Once again, as it fades into the ending, it should fade, not become louder. The loudness causes some distortion, which kind of reduces the, well, goodness. Turn it down a wee bit and smooth it out, as I've said before. Not too much, but make it less ear-shattering compared to the rest of the song.

With that in mind, you get a 9 for a good, uplifting, if slightly jarring noise-wise, song. Because there is no 4.5, I will round up and give you a five.

[Guitar Vs. Piano 1.2]

Great song, very well done.

This song is, as many know, one of the best on Newgrounds. Now it also has some flaws, in my taste, but they are few and far between. Overall the song is brilliant.

The guitar riff at the opening is absolutely amazing. One of the best I've yet to hear. If this was used a bit more extensively in the song I would like it even more than I do now, unfortunately it doesn't make a return appearance for quite some time, or at least in a noticeable, stand-alone fashion.

Then the drums kick in and it sounds just about as good as the riff itself. Unfortunately, when the piano cuts in overtop the guitar riff gets covered up by the drums and piano, and it sounds kind of muddled. Improved clarity here would help the song a lot, in my opinion. Perhaps if you ever come back to and redo this song again, that could the area that needs improving.

Following that part of the song comes the piano solo, which is well done. Perhaps a tiny bit long, but pretty good nonetheless. Part of the drums disappear during this segment, which fits it rather well, as the piano isn't exactly D&B instrument.

Following this comes another very good segment of guitar solo, which has basically nothing wrong with it. After that we run into that somewhat messy meshing of the two like in the second part of the song. This also needs some clearing up by a tiny bit, make the instruments a bit more unique, and a tiny bit less clashing, as I've said before.

Finally, at 3:50, we hear the intro riff playing out again. It's still as good as it was, I'd say keep it.

So there's my two cents on where the song still needs improvement. It's bloody good already, to be sure, which is why I gave you a 10 and a 5, review and rating respectively, but there still stands some improvement to be made, like in all things. Keep up the good work!

[Golden Sun - Battle Remix]

Simply amazing work, lad.

New account on newgrounds, longtime fan. Not so much a longtime fan of the typing lag, but longtime fan of your music. You make some of the best remixes in the audio portal, and I want you to know that ahead of time. Also, I have never been terribly into the nitty-gritty of music, so forgive my lack of general knowledge.

At first the song starts out with a weird kind of scale-like series of notes that doesn't really sound anything like the song you are remixing and did sound rather like your F-Zero Big Blue remix. Well, it wasn't bad, but didn't contribute much to the song. Then again, why not?

Then the main melody faded in and overtook the bass, it was at that point I realized its importance to the intro, to establish the song's bass ahead of time and result in the good beat throughout. Well, how about that. Then the music goes well, slightly faded, very relaxing and trance-like.

Then comes my favorite part of this remix, and the battle song, actually. The climax of the theme into that brief set of notes that you repeat twice. Honestly, it's really plain good. Not much else to say about that.

Then it loops back around to the beginning. This song is absolutely excellent, 100% brilliant work, and I would love to see more Golden Sun remixes of yours, especially what you could do with the Magma Rock theme, Doom Dragon theme, Saturos theme (first encounter and Saturos at Mercury Lighthouse, as well as the optional boss from GS2), and the GS2 boss theme. Those are kind of sitting, begging for your touch at the remixes. Not to totally slobber all over your work or anything ;)
